The point finder is a 4x zoom digital camera that can find your target in the display, exceeding your ability to see the laser point. This is invaluable, and allows the disto to extend its range to ~650 ft max. Combined with the Smart Horizontal mode to allow horizontal measurements over objects in the distance makes the E7500i a versatile tool.
