The Leica DISTO™ D2 is a 7 measurement mode LDM featuring an intuitive, back-lit LCD display in a 4oz unit. The D2 has unbelievable accuracy to 3/32 of an inch, allowing you to rest assured knowing your work is precisely documented. The D2 measures from its base by default, and can also be configured to measure from the front or from the end of its flip-out end piece. A Min/Max mode means that you can “sweep” the laser point into a corner and the D2 will record the longest measurement. This allows for very accurate diagonal measurements.
Along with distance, the D2 calculates area and volume and remembers the last 10 measurements taken. There is a built-in Add/Subtract capability that allows users to combine multiple measurements on the fly. For indirect height or width measurements, the D2 features a Pythagoras function that calculates estimates and rough measurements (precise indirect measurements are best accomplished with an LDM and tilt sensor).
