This unit is rated IP65 — totally protected from dust and low pressure water contact. Don’t worry if you drop it either—the E7400x has a 2 meter (~6’) drop rating. This product is tough as nails.
The E7400x is a 9 measurement mode laser distance meter intended for use on active job sites. It’s precise laser module, backlit LCD display, tilt sensor, and ruggedized chassis are only a few of this unit’s great features. Measuring diagonal distance is simplified with the E7400x’s Min/Max mode and intelligent end piece. This end piece is connected to the circuit board, and once flipped open 90˚, the base is aligned perfectly on an edge or corner, allowing you to accurately measure diagonals.
Job sites don’t always allow for a straightforward measurement. The Smart Horizontal feature allows operators to shoot over obstacles to determine the level horizontal distance to your target. The tilt sensor then calculates the difference in length between the longer shot you take to clear obstacles and get you the exact measurement you require. For best results when measuring long distances, keep the E7400x steady with a tripod and TA360 Tripod Adapter.
