To ensure accuracy and safety in any rigging application, Mountain Productions carries a full line of load monitoring systems from Motion Laboratories. Providing users with up-to-the-minute load data, this system is made of three components including the Digital Display Modules, the Load*Cell Hub, and the Load*Cell.

LOAD*CELL

Properly monitoring an overhead load is crucial to the safety of your workers, performers and audience. A complete load monitoring system is comprised of different modules. The primary component in the system is the Load*Cell. Working together with the Cell*Mate Hub and Display Modules, the Load*Cell can measure both dynamic and static loads in real time from one or more locations.


Each stainless steel Load*Cell transmits inline force measurements to the eight channel hub via a 6 Pin XLR cable. All channels of data are sent from the Cell*Mate Hub to the Cell*Mate Display module via a single 6 Pin XLR cable, greatly reducing setup time by eliminating multiple cable home runs. Spherical bearings at either end allow Load*Cells to self-align, removing side-load interference and providing the most accurate measurements possible.


The Load*Cell is designed in 2, 5, and 10 ton units. All Load*Cells are engineered with a 5:1 safety factor.

Motion Labs Cell*Mate Display

The Cell*Mate Display offers users the ability to monitor up to eight channels of Load*Cell data individually on separate digital displays. The ability to connect with Motion Labs hoist control systems allows the Warden to constantly monitor data and automatically stop motor movement if potentially unsafe conditions arise.

Motion Labs Load*Cell Hub

The Load*Cell Hub is the routing system in every load monitoring rig. Gathering data from up to eight Load*Cells, the hub transfers all data to the display units through one data cable. This greatly reduces cable clutter and allows shorter runs to each point.

Motion Labs' Load*Cell Data Logger interface is designed to record data from the Cell*Mate System and allows the user to create configurable time stamped CSV files for easy spreadsheet manipulation and archiving.
